Cee Lo Green Confirms Christina Aguilera Duet
'Voice' coaches recording track for Aguilera's upcoming album. By John Mitchell <P>We already know <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/aguilera_christina/artist.jhtml">Christina Aguilera</a> is hard at work on her upcoming album, and now we have confirmation that at least one of her fellow "The Voice" coaches will appear on the still-untitled set, due out later this year. Talking to <a href="http://www.billboard.com/news/christina-aguilera-cee-lo-hit-the-studio-1006735352.story#/news/christina-aguilera-cee-lo-hit-the-studio-1006735352.story" target="_blank"><i>Billboard</i></a>, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/cee_lo/artist.jhtml">Cee Lo Green</a> revealed that he is working on a track with Aguilera, but declined to give much information about the song itself — other than it is happening and it is at least partly recorded.</P><P><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:750658/cp~vid%3D750658%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A750658" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed> "It's a song for her album. I won't disclose the title, because it could possibly be a working title," Green said. "We've talked about it amongst ourselves, and I'm gonna go in on it and work it out. It'll be the second song we've done." The first song they recorded together was the demo "Nasty," which was recorded for but ultimately not included on the soundtrack to Aguilera's film "Burlesque." "I just gotta get in there and ... splash," Green continued, implying that Aguilera already recorded her vocal for the unnamed track. After a recent "Voice" taping, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1682395/christina-aguilera-new-album.jhtml">Aguilera told</a> the show's social-media correspondent Christina Milian that she has been hitting the studio in whatever free time she can find in her busy schedule with the TV hit. "I started [the album] whenever I started this show, and then [the show] kind of took off into this big thing," Aguilera explained. "So, the show used to be a side project and kind of turned into a bigger time-fulfilling, dedicated project for me." The pop star, who appeared on Maroon 5's #1 hit "Moves Like Jagger" last year, is working with a variety of producers and songwriters on the effort. "It's just filled with fun and excitement, and it's gonna come out later this year," Aguilera added. Eminem Warns 50 Cent Not To Die Over A Hamburger
Fif tells MTV News he's 'in good spirits' despite nearly having to go into surgery to remove blockage in his small intestine.

<P>Nine gun shots wasn't enough to take out <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/50_cent/artist.jhtml">50 Cent</a>, but a bad hamburger could have been the undoing of rap's #1 bad guy. The G-Unit general was hospitalized this week with stomach pains, but a phone call from his homey <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/eminem/artist.jhtml">Eminem</a> surely lightened the mood.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="50 Cent Avoids Surgery" id="vid:770453" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"I'm in a dead serious moment like, 'Damn, I don't believe this is happenin' right now,' " Fif said recalling the moments before Slim Shady phoned him. "He goes, 'Yo Fif, you were shot nine times man if you die over a burger, this sh-- ain't gonna go right. People ain't gonna be feelin' this.' "</P><P>On Wednesday, Fif tweeted a picture of himself in a hospital bed and sent a <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/50cent/status/202880891767357440" target="_blank"> public message</a> to his boxing friend Floyd Mayweather that read: "I don't want to go into surgery."</P><P>Lucky for him, he didn't have to. When MTV News checked up on 50 at his NYC G-Unit office on Thursday, just hours after he was released from the hospital, he said he was able to avoid going into surgery to remove blockage in his small intestine.</P><P>"I'm feelin' better; I'm in good spirits," Fif added.</P><P>DJ Drama, who is in New York to promote his upcoming mixtape with 50, <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/05/11/50-cent-ready-to-unleash-the-lost-tape/"><i>The Lost Tape,</i></a> told MTV News he was worried about his boy. To lift the gangsta rapper's spirits Drama sent three <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/50cent/status/202889979469369344" target="_blank">stuffed animals</a> to 50: a giraffe, an elephant and a lion.</P><P>They say it's the thought that counts, but Drama's get-well gifts didn't go over so well. "That wasn't cool. That's all you get," 50 told Drama jokingly while our cameras rolled. The pop princess has reportedly split with relatively short-term love Robert Ackroyd.</P><P>According to <a href="http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/katy-perry-splits-from-robert-ackroyd-sings-about-divorce-2012215" target="_blank"><i>Us Weekly</i></a>, the "Part of Me" singer and the Florence and the Machine guitarist parted ways very amicably, due in large part to the fact that they were dating for only a few weeks.</P><P>"It wasn't that serious," a source told the magazine of Perry's relationship with Ackroyd. "It's not a nasty thing, and they are still talking, but Katy told him to do his thing, and they'll talk soon."</P><P>Another source added, "No hard feelings. She's really busy, and so is he."</P><P>News of <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1683664/katy-perry-robert-ackroyd-kissing.jhtml">Perry and Ackroyd's romance</a> broke last month when the pair were spotted holding hands, kissing and generally canoodling at the Coachella music festival in California.</P><P>The 27-year-old is reportedly still recovering from her highly publicized <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1676631/katy-perry-russell-brand-divorce-details.jhtml">breakup with husband Russell Brand</a> back in December after two years of marriage. She has yet to speak publicly about the split, but during her acceptance speech of the Spotlight Award at Sunday night's<a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1685463/katy-perry-part-of-me-wide-awake-billboard-music-awards.jhtml"><i>Billboard</i> Music Awards</a>, she hinted that her new single, "Wide Awake," might reflect emotions she dealt with regarding the divorce.</P><P>"Tonight, later, when I get on the stage, I'm going to be singing my personal, intimate song," she said, before shouting out her date. "The real rock star here is my grandmother. She's 91, and she's from Las Vegas. Kanye West's Custom-Built 'Cruel Summer' Cinema: Take A Look Inside!
The Cannes premiere of West's film was held inside a tented pyramid designed to create an effect of 'levitation,' according to designers.

<P>When Kanye West <a href="/news/articles/1685715/kanye-west-cruel-summer-premiere.jhtml">premiered his "Cruel Summer"</a> film last week at Cannes, he did so in his usual, uh, <i>understated</i> manner: projected on seven video screens inside a tented pyramid on the Mediterranean Sea.</P><P>It was a stylistic choice meant to represent "a post-Steve Jobs, post-Windows era ... where your mind puts the screen back together, the way you put memories together ... like the experience of life" (so said West in a speech before the premiere). But if you weren't lucky enough to attend the film's gala opening — which is to say, if you weren't Kim Kardashian or Jay-Z — those words probably don't hold much meaning to you.</P><P>But now, you can get a glimpse at what it was like to be inside that tented pyramid, <a href="http://www.dummymag.com/photos/2012/05/29/pics-of-kanye-west-s-insane-seven-screen-custom-built-cinema-in-cannes" target="_blank">as a series of photos</a> of the venue — and the multitude of strategically placed video screens — have hit the Web.</P><P>Designed by international firm <a href="http://oma.eu/news/2012/kanye-west%e2%80%99s-seven-screen-pavilion-unveiled" target="_blank">OMA</a>, who have built eye-popping venues in cities like Beijing, Montreal and, uh, Syracuse, the "temporary pavilion" featured seven screens "of cinematic proportions," and was envisioned as "a constellation of projections that wrap around the audience."</P><P>The pyramid itself was created "to create an effect of levitation above the red carpet," and attendees "ascend[ed] into the pyramid along a continuous red carpet that widen[ed] into the 200-seat auditorium." The entire projected was site-specific collaboration between OMA, West's own DONDA collective and Cannes-based production team Ar'Scene.</P><P>"Cruel Summer," inspired by West's <a href="/news/articles/1681210/kanye-west-good-music.jhtml">upcoming G.O.O.D Music compilation</a> of the same name, stars Kid Cudi as a car thief who falls in love with a blind Arabian princess. The 30-minute film was co-directed by Alexandre Moors, who previously worked with West on his videos for "Runaway" and "N---as in Paris," and was shot entirely in Qatar in the Middle East.</p>
